My Name Is Khan Movie Synopsis:

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol Mukherjee are paired as husband and wife. The story is set against post 9/11 tragedy. Shah Rukh Khan will play a Muslim who gets wrongly detained on a flight because his last name is Khan and hence the authorities think that must make him a terrorist?


......In My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh plays a character called Rizwan Khan, who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome, a relatively milder form of autism. The first half of the film is based on a true story that happened to a couple and Karan Johar has bought the story rights from the couple.


According to Karan Johar’s word who said about his next movie is that - My Name Is Khan, was about a Muslim (played by SRK) who wanted to meet the American President so that he could say: “My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist.”


The film brings SRK and Kajol back together. Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan have so far starred together in the following films, all of which turned out to be hits Baazigar (1993), Karan Arjun (1995), Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).



Hairdresser Dilshad is responsible for Shah Rukh's new cut. It is believed that the actor will trim his hair shorter after a few days. Almost like a crew cut. According to a source, "His hair cut was done in three stages.

Karan Johar started the shooting for My Name is Khan from 18 December, 2008 in Los Angeles.

It has the power to be Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster overseas. Because, best Bollywood jodi, best director, best banner and Oh, the music for the film is given by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, so, one of the best music directors of Bollywood also.
