Patch up Between Shahrukh khan and Amir khan

First they fight, then they patch-up. We are talking about the biggest superstars of the Hindi film industry -- Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Recently, Aamir had openly spoken against Shah Rukh’s self-professed No 1 star status and how he has lost his sense of humour since his films aren’t doing well. All that is now over. On Tuesday, Aamir and Shah Rukh set their personal differences aside to help resolve the film industry’s dispute with multiplexes by addressing a joint press conference in Mumbai. Since Saturday a group of producers have refused to release new movies because they want a better revenue-sharing deal.

Earlier, the Khans met at Karan Johar’s residence to settle their differences and unite for a cause. The meeting lasted for six hours.

Suzanne walks out on Hrithik? Barbara responsible?

If rumours are to be believed Suzanne Roshan has walked out on her husband and has moved into her parents Sanjay and Zarine Khan’s house at Juhu with her two kids. The reason apparently is said to be Hrithik’s real life rising closeness with Barbara Mori with whom he co-stars in Rakesh Roshan’s film Kites.

The off-screen chemistry between the couple has been palpable lately. While everybody including his family believed that Barbara was a passing phase in Hrithik’s life, Roshan junior seems to have got too serious about the Brazilian actress.

Seemingly, Suzanne was trying to overlook the affair. She even made public appearances with Hrithik at Amrita Arora’s wedding and Manish Malhotra’s fashion show, but things seem to have gone sour after that. While the Roshans’ insist that Suzanne has shifted only temporarily since her room is undergoing termite treatment, insiders say there’s more to the move than that.

Saif-Kareena smouldering hot in ‘Agent Vinod’

Kareena Kapoor is finally going to play a full-fledged role in Saif Ali Khan’s home production Agent Vinod. She wants the spy drama to be “hot” and says even the posters will be designed to portray them as Bollywood’s “coolest hot pair”. In the beginning, Kareena’s role in the film was relatively less substantial than Saif’s.

In fact, Kareena wasn’t even sure she wanted to do Agent Vinod because the title clearly indicated whom the film belonged to. But Saif convinced her that her role will be at par with his and then convinced Sriram (Raghavan), with whom he has a good rapport since they did Ek Hasina Thi (2004), to make sure his ladylove’s presence in the film is justified. Quips Karina: “Do you think I’d agree to be part of the film if my role was not as exciting as Saif? Saif and I will be smouldering hot in Agent Vinod. Even the posters will be designed to highlight us as the coolest hot pair.” Well, good luck to the lovebirds!

Sonam: No movies with dad, please!

Those who want to see Sonam with her dad Anil Kapoor will have to wait for a long time. They are just not inclined to work together. The buzz around tinsel town is that there’s a pivotal role in Anil Kapoor’s home production that he was supposed to play. But Anil, high on the global success of Slumdog Millionaire, is not doing it. Says Sonam: “Do you really think he looks like my Dad? No! He doesn’t. He looks far younger than his age. And that’s why I wouldn’t want him to play my father. The role in Ayesha that you’re mentioning didn’t suit him. My dad can’t play the conventional father.”

In fact, earlier Anil had been offered a role a role in Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi 6 with Sonam. Both father and daughter decided against it. Sonam was more against the idea of their coming together than Anil. “And that’s how it remains even now,” she says.

“We’d rather wait for a while until I'm older, because my father isn’t going to oblige (by looking older).” Point out to her that some of Anil’s leading ladies are about Sonam’s age and she chuckles: “That’s right and my father looks very well-matched with all his co-stars. He’s quite something. And now after Slumdog he has entered another innings in his career. His career keeps getting re-invented. I’m afraid he has set impossible standards for me.”

Shilpa Shetty: IPL more important than Raj

When it rains, it pours. It was reported that Shilpa Shetty will tie the knot with her beau Raj Kundra in October, but the actress claims that she is yet to decide on the date. She’s extremely content the way things are happening at present in her life. After foraying into IPL with Rajasthan Royals, Shilpa has recently launched her beauty spa and is also working on her Indo-Chinese project, Desire.

“It is difficult to concentrate on everything at a time that’s the reason I have kept my production on hold.” She’s also busy readying her sprawling homes in Mumbai and London where she and Raj Kundra will stay after marriage. In Mumbai, Shilpa has two homes.

“We’ve a home right opposite the Bachchans’ residence and another one at Ruia Park. We’ve decided to make the Ruia Park bungalow our home. Suzanne Roshan (Hrithik Roshan’s wife) has finished doing it up for us.”

Interestingly, the bungalow is right next to Indian Premier League’s Lalit Modi in Mumbai. Says Shilpa: “In fact, we even share a common wall. Quite significant, don’t you think?” Speaking of the spacious seven-bedroom London home, Shilpa says: “Our home in London is at St Georges Hill, Weybridge. Raj bought this old heritage home on a sprawling land full of trees and greenery. We left all the greenery intact, but we broke down the old home and rebuilt a new one. We’ve named our love nest Fortune Manor. Raj’s parents will be staying with us. While building the home, we also had to keep in mind that we will be having children.” Shilpa has more to look forward to -- the engagement ceremony for which Raj has ordered the hugest rock possible. Some girls have all the luck.

Imran makes Shenaz cry

Wondering how Shenaz Treasuryvala got her new short hair look? Well, the actress who will be seen opposite hottie Imran Khan in Delhi Belly, revealed the reason. She says: “I went for the look test for Delhi Belly with my long hair and met Imran for the first time there. My role was that of a sexy air-hostess, so they started trying all sorts of looks, tying my hair up and things like that. Imran kept shaking his head. Then someone suggested I cut it and he gave me the thumbs up signal. I was so smitten the first time I met him, I fell for it,” she laughs.

Imran, apparently placed a bet with everyone that Shenaz would cry while her hair was being chopped off and to her surprise, it took a lot not to burst into tears. She adds, “I didn’t know I could be so attached to my hair. I’m embarrassed. After all, it’s just a bunch of dead cells. I held back all those tears until I excused myself and went to the bathroom and then I cried like a baby!”

Sanjay Dutt’s dual dilemma

Sanjay Dutt had kept his filmy career on the backburner for a bit with the intention of giving his all to politics. And though his ambitions were understandable, paying the brunt of it all were some directors and producers who had to stall, delay and postpone shoots in order to meet Dutt’s dates. “Sanjay is a part of Ajay Devgan’s film All the Best and his political priorities forced Ajay too, to stall shoot,” informs an industry insider. Anyway, with Sanju not in the fray now, we guess the lights can come on and the cameras can get rolling.
