Jade Goody earns millions for rights to her wedding
With her wedding this Sunday to longtime boyfriend Jack Tweed, British reality TV star Jade Goody is making news multiple times a day in her home nation, with every detail of the preparations being reported.
Goody and Tweed will get married at Down House in Hertfordshire, she in a Makado silk Uranio gown worth 3,500 British pounds - a gift from Harrod's owner Mohammed Al Fayed, and he in an Armani suit - possibly cream. Reports say that Goody wants a "big, white wedding" and that friends are doing everything they can to accomodate her desires on such short notice. Her best friend, Kate Jackson, will be a bridesmaid along with four other close friends. Her young sons Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4, will also be part of the ceremony in front of about 100 guests.
Goody earned hundreds of thousands of British pounds already for set up paparrazzi shots of her and Tweed exchanging engagement rings by the Thames on Sunday afternoon, and she is reportedly set to earn more than 1.5 million pounds for the TV and magazine rights to the ceremony. All the money will be set up in a trust for her sons, who will be left without their mother when she succumbs to cervical cancer. If doctors assumptions are correct, Goody has just weeks to live.
